You're in the right place
I DESIGN PERSONALIZED NUTRITION PROTOCOLS AND COACH BUSY PEOPLE WHO FEEL OVERWHELMED AND FRUSTRATED BY DIGESTIVE DISTRESS...
Many of my clients come to the Balance Your Gut program feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and overlooked by conventional care. They've tried different doctors and prescriptions that only mask symptoms rather than address the root cause.
Many live in constant anxiety about food, avoid social events, and may feel like they're failing as employees, parents, and friends because of how deeply their health issues are affecting their lives. Physical discomfort, mood swings, fatigue, and depression make it hard to show up in life, and often, they feel unsupported and misunderstood by those around them.
My mission is to cut through the confusion, help you get to the root of your digestive distress, and restore calm, confidence, and trust in your body.

You’re here because your body is asking for more than surface-level answers — and you’re ready to work with a nutritionist who can see the patterns, not just the symptoms.
I’m Kara Kroeger. For more than 25 years, I’ve helped people make sense of complex health concerns through nutrition and lifestyle changes — especially when the answers weren’t obvious, linear, or easily reduced to a single diagnosis.
My work is rooted in extensive clinical nutrition training, my experience as a personal chef, and decades of real-world practice, all guided by a whole-body approach that considers how digestion, metabolic function, mindset, recovery, and daily life are interconnected.
I don’t look at the body as a collection of isolated systems, but as an interconnected whole that responds over time to food, environment, stress, and physiology.
This approach has been shaped not only by professional experience but also by early personal exposure to serious family illness, which motivated me to become a nutritionist, and years of observing how health truly rebuilds in real-life situations.
I’ve worked with people at many stages of healing — from those navigating chronic digestive or metabolic challenges to individuals rebuilding strength after significant medical treatment.
What I know to be true is this: lasting change comes from understanding what’s driving symptoms, not just managing them.
If you’re looking for thoughtful, experienced guidance and a structured path forward, I’d be glad to talk with you about what support might look like.
When Overwhelm Takes Over
At some point, health challenges stop responding to quick fixes, and you realize you need more guidance.
Maybe you’ve already tried several approaches or practitioners.
Or maybe you’re just starting and feel unsure where to begin.
Either way, when symptoms continue after trying different remedies or the idea of figuring it out alone feels overwhelming, it can start to feel confusing — and discouraging.
-
Digestive issues that linger or change instead of resolving.
-
Energy or blood sugar imbalances that never quite stabilize.
-
A body that needs nourishing support, not pressure.
-
A sense that something deeper needs attention.
You’re beginning to understand that the solution isn’t only about effort, knowledge, or willpower.
It’s about managing a complex system that’s more layered than it appears from the outside, has its own unique blueprint for healing, and could benefit from an experienced clinician who has helped others in your same situation.
More answers don't always mean more clarity about what to prioritize.
Some clients arrive with years of medical history and notes.
Others arrive with a long list of symptoms and many questions.
Both are welcome here.
Because what most people actually need isn’t more information — it’s specific context and direction for their personal lived experience and lifestyle.
• Where to start
• What to prioritize
• What can safely wait
• How to know whether something is helping or hurting
Clarity comes from practiced experience, not just education.
Nutrition Programs Built Around You

Why Programs Create Change
(When One-Off Sessions Often Don’t)
Bodies don’t change overnight — and they rarely change in straight lines.
They respond.
They adjust.
They send feedback.
A multi-month program gives us time to listen to that feedback and respond thoughtfully.
Over time, we can:
• Identify patterns instead of reacting to single symptoms
• Adjust nutrition as digestion, metabolism, and recovery shift
• Build steady habits that fit real life
• Create progress that feels sustainable, not forced
This isn’t about doing more.
It’s about prioritizing what matters — in the proper order.
"I’ve done Kara’s 28-day cleanse twice now, and I’ll definitely do it again next year. It’s surprisingly easy to follow, even though I have to give up some of the things I love (maybe too much!). Less than halfway through, I felt amazing — a real sense of well-being, happiness, focus, and energy. I experienced improved sleep, and as a result, increased mental clarity. By the end of the month, I definitely had less inflammation and felt "lighter'. Honestly, it’s all worth it. This time, I’m even extending the cleanse for another month because I don’t want this feeling to go away!

I came to Kara about 6 days post-surgery. I had dire gastrointestinal distress and pain that kept me up at night. Her consultation set me up with a map to recovery. She directed me on what foods to include and what to avoid, suggested supplements, and other holistic specialists. Within days, I started feeling better. Her confidence and her plan were empowering in a doubtful moment. She gave me tools to heal, but also belief that healing and health would come. I highly recommend Kara as an invaluable holistic health coach at any stage of your health continuum!
